Somatic & Depth Psychotherapy in Los Angeles

A holistic approach that embraces the mind, body, and spirit throughout the treatment process.

Individualized Therapy Services and treatment for Women.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I provide individual therapy services for women with customized treatment to help them lean into all aspects of their lived experience.

Over the last several years, we’ve seen a significant shift as many clinicians have expanded their practices to account for the ways the mind and body are inextricably linked.

Most of my clients come to me having had some experience with therapy in the past. Maybe you have too, and you found it useful to process feelings of depression, anxiety, general discontent with your life, or a lack of meaning and fulfillment.

But in spite of experiencing some relief, the work didn’t translate into the meaningful transformation that you know is possible for you and your life.

Contemporary research continues to reveal that thoughts don’t only live in the mind, but also in the body. Therefore, even if your previous experiences in therapy helped you process your thoughts cognitively, it’s difficult to experience lasting change without addressing the way your emotions have manifested in your body.

In my practice, which combines Depth Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing®, I teach the principles of embodiment. Learning to live an embodied experience helps you to recruit the body into the healing process and achieve better therapeutic outcomes.

Integrative Care From my office in Pasadena.

My clients come to me wanting to work through challenges like:

  • Experiencing a sense of detachment from their own physical selves, interpersonal connections, and social circles

  • Struggling with feelings of sadness and overwhelming worry

  • Encountering barriers to creativity or feeling immobilized without clear reasons

  • Challenges in adjusting to major changes in life

  • Struggling to let go of past events that remain unresolved

  • Balancing the demands of motherhood with professional responsibilities

My practice is centered around modalities that explore the inner workings of both the mind and the body as a singular, bi-directional system. Psychodynamic therapy is an approach in which we identify patterns of thought and behavior that you may not be consciously aware of. Becoming aware of these patterns can provide incredible insight into why you continue to feel stuck in certain parts of your life in spite of your desire for things to be different.

THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES

APPROACHES THAT HONOR PSYCHE, BODY, RELATIONSHIPS, AND THE LIVING WORLD

  • Depth Psychotherapy

Depth psychotherapy explores what lives beneath conscious awareness through dreams, symbolism, archetypes, mythology, and inherited stories. This reflective work helps you listen for meaning in your experiences and develop a deeper relationship with your inner world.

  • Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing® brings the body into the therapeutic process, helping you notice sensations, patterns, and nervous-system responses with greater awareness. This embodied approach can support trauma resolution, regulation, and a deeper sense of connection and presence.

  • EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy supports the processing of distressing or traumatic experiences that may continue to affect how you feel and respond in the present. It offers a structured way to work with past experiences while supporting greater integration and emotional relief.

  • Ecotherapy

Ecotherapy invites the natural world to become an active participant in healing rather than simply a backdrop. Through walking, stillness, conversation, and attention to your surroundings, this work can support perspective, resilience, self-understanding, and a deeper sense of belonging.

  • Equine Psychotherapy

Equine psychotherapy is a ground-based, relational approach that begins with listening. Through observation, movement, embodied awareness, and reflection alongside horses, this work can support nervous-system regulation, emotional awareness, and a deeper understanding of how you relate to yourself and others.
